The winery Masseria Battifarano - Cantine Cerrolongo is situated in the district of cerrolongo, from which its name, near the mountain community of "Basso Sinni" in the province of Matera.
The winery is dedicated to the production of good quality wines, mostly reds, powerful and structured, made mostly from Aglianico and Primitivo grapes and international grapes such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, although there are a rosé of Sangiovese and Syrah and two white wines from Greco grapes. La Masseria Battifarano - Cantine Cerrolongo also produces a good traditional method Italian spumante wine and a white grappa of Greco.
The production of wines is accompanied by that of extra-virgin olive oil, and fruits of various kinds.
The winbery has, finally, a nice farmhouse with sixteen beds divided in four mini-apartments fully equipped and independent.
Reservations are also available for wine and local products tastings.
