Overview The most prestigious wine of the winery is the "Don Nicola" reserve of Aglianico Taburno Doc, followed by the "Nie" IGT Campania, a white grape varieties obtained from the union of the three most extraordinary grapes boasting the region Campania Fiano, Greco and Falanghina. A must try are thje Aglianico del Taburno Doc and the Falanghina, the rose wine Aglianico Taburno Doc and Piedirosso Sannio Doc, a smooth wine with strong notes of spice, to finish with "Incigno" Benevento Igt Novello, a wine fresh and youthful. In the short term will come out the other products that will further enrich the production. Cantine Iannella, founded in 1920 by the family patriarch John Iannella, initially had a production that was limited to only 50 quintals of wine. The wines produced were Aglianico (which has made famous this small town Samnite, following the granting of the DOC) and Coda di Volpe. The nineties marked a turning point, allowing the winery, led by enthusiasm and passion of young Antonio Iannella, (grandson of the founder) to make a major leap both in quantity and quality. Next to Aglianico, Falanghina complements the excellent result from other varieties of wines. Increasing demands led Antonio to expand the little winery in a large modern factory with advanced machinery, and to propose, some of that wine, which until then had been sold in bulk, in elegant bottles. In 1955 to continue the wine business is Nicola Iannella (son of the founder of the winery) that expands and enhances local capacity, focusing more and more on the designation of controlled origin (DOC). In 1992, to guide the fortunes is called Antonio Iannella (grandson of the founder) who, with passion and absolute love is devoted to wine production, since, as a boy he worked with his father in the cellar among the barrels and kegs, to learn the art of the master vintner. In 2000 the great leap, the increased need and requests from all over the world, lead Antonio Iannella to expand the structure of the cellar, to diversify and increase production of its vineyards and wines of the territory of Torrecuso, where a mild climate, characterized by a hilly terrain let vineyards produce grapes of very high value |
