Only sixteen-year-old, he continued with great effort and courage his father's work, by raising more and more the reputation and quality of their wines. Next, came to Tunisia the terrible disease of phylloxera, which attacked the vine going to meet a very hard time. The vines, now dry, were cut and burned to make charcoal for the merchants of Tunis. Finally arrived from France the first grafted roots, able to resist the disease, thus repopulating the land with strong vineyards. In May 12, 1964, Harbib Bourguiba, the then President of Tunisia, expropriated all property and goods of foreigners in the land of Tunisia through a measure known to history for his radicalism. It was thus deleted all the work and the toil of a lifetime: the family Pandolfo was obliged to leave the country and was divided between Italy and France. Andrew II, now in its fourth decade, decided with the children to move to Italy and buy a small farm near Terracina (LT), to resume his journey. With the harvest of 1968 collected their first grapes to produce wine, produced the first bottles with handwritten labels, gaining tthe first customers and the store began to take hold among the most important wineries in Latium.
