The Castello di Ripa d'Orcia, winery and farmhouse, is located in Castiglione d'Orcia, in the heart of the Tuscan countryside.
The farm, which has over 300 hectares of land, of which 6 are dedicated to the vine cultivation and 10 to that of olive, produces wines with close ties to the territory, the result of a careful and passionate work, both in vineyard and the cellar: all operations in the vineyard, from pruning to harvesting, are strictly manual, while, in the cellar, the vinification in follows techniques result of an excellent balance between tradition and modern technology.
The red wines of Carstello Ripa d'Orcia, complex, elegant and powerful, are made from Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot: excellent is the supertuscan Ripensis, selection of only the best Merlot grapes, which, thanks to a wise use of new wood, from the second fermentation onwards, it is surprising for its intense fragrances and its very persistent taste soft and sumptuous. Worthy of note are the white wine Le Piagge, from Chardonnay and Vermentino, and the Vin Santo Orcia DOC, as well as the excellent extra virgin olive oil.

Spend your time in the historical castle and the night in the ancient olives warehouse, now converted into comfortable bedrooms, or rent an apartment with a kitchenette to feel one of the people of Ripa d'Orcia.
