The Winery Enzo Carmignani is located on the hills south-west of Montecarlo, in heart of the DOC area that takes its name from the medieval village.
The winery Carmignani boasts an ancient winemakin traditiong, so that, from the very faraway 1386, the Carmignani family passes down from father to son the love and passion for the land and in particular for viticulture. The landscape of our property is our wealth and the mother hard and austere, but, eventually, generous, our best wines.

Montecarlo DOC wines of the winery Enzo Carmignani are born, therefore, from this strong link between man and earth, thanks to a meticulous wine making and to the use, in the cellar, of the latest equipment. Among the wines produced by the winery Enzo Carmignani we highlight, in addition to the two Montecarlo DOC wines, a white and a red, also four IGT Toscana wines: the "Theorema", a red from Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot, the two white wines "La Verruka", Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc, and "Urano", Sauvignon and the Aleatico, a raisin wine made from naturally sun-dried grapes.
The history of wine of Montecarlo is antique: in this area, vines were cultivated, almost certainly, at the time of the Etruscans and Romans. In ancient times, in fact, Montecarlo was known as Vivinaia, a name which according to scholars derives from "Via Vinaria", the road that connected with the Via Cassia to the Via Romea, a "Wine Route" which ran through the hills, whose slopes had already hung by the vineyards of Trebbiano that gave rise to a very much appreciated wine.
