The Vin Ruspo wine belongs to ancient Carmignano traditions. It is a wine made from ‘ruspato’ most, that is, most ‘stolen’ by the workers during harvest time, from the baskets during the transport from the vines to the farm. This ‘stolen’ most was put into large demijohn bottles and was kept in the cantina through the Winter giving it no attention. It was so refreshing in the Spring, with its fresh and sparkling taste, for the first hard work of the year, especially as it was ‘stolen’, and according to the tradition, even the farm owner was then invited by the workers to taste their best stolen wines. |
